Senior IR Programmer Analyst
Application Procedure:
Job Duties
- Acts as a subject matter expert related to the technical aspects of the creation and distribution of data reports and interactive data dashboards.
- Designs, codes, tests, and revises existing programs and stored procedures. Produces detailed program and stored procedure specifications.
- Creates test data and creates and implements test plans.
- Adapts to new systems by creating new ways of performing old processes.
- Responds to internal and external ad-hoc requests with accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead the technical aspects of the creation and distribution of data reports and interactive data dashboards
- Consult with dashboard visual designers as needed to help troubleshoot data issues and identify possible solutions.
- Design, code, test, and revise existing programs and stored procedures primarily utilizing SQL programming language.
- Produce detailed program and store procedure specifications using the university’s approved data glossary tool.
- Develop and maintain data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow between current and new data systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
- Responsible for representing IR and acting as a subject matter expert regarding proper database design.
- Advise the IR Office of the functional requirements of system upgrades in collaboration with ITS.
- Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Departmental Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience with SQL.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Experience in designing reporting systems.
- Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations.
- Experience with Enterprise Reporting Platforms such as Banner or Workday.
- Experience working in a higher education setting preferred.
- Good written, oral, and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications:
This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 6 years of direct experience.
