Job Duties

Manage SQL & Access databases that support longitudinal studies and statistical analyses. Complete internal/external data requests by creating SAS and/or SQL queries, analyzing data, preparing reports, and disseminating results. Manage IARE dashboards on SAS Viya and/or PowerBI platforms. Support the Director of Institutional Assessment, Research & Effectiveness on subjects and aspects of the university through an ongoing data collection, analysis, and dissemination of information. Implement internal research studies. Review systems/data as part of the quality improvement process.


Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in computer science, statistics, educational research, business management, or other field relevant to institutional research and planning. Strong computing, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications
A master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in a relevant field. At least two (2) years relevant experience in creating and managing large SQL databases(e.g., experienced with Banner, Microsoft Excel/Access, and SAS/SQL queries) and conducting statistical analyses. Ability to use a broad-based knowledge of computing, research methods, statistical techniques, and higher education issues, to support campus decision makers with clear, relevant, accurate information. History of effectively working with database or assessment tools or systems in higher education is preferred.
