Job Duties

Provide support to decision-making and planning across the university using data extract tools and business intelligence applications.

Respond to routine and ad hoc internal and external information requests.

Produce information for major projects such as departmental and statistical profiles, common data set, and mandatory external reporting requirements.

Work with various individuals, groups, and offices throughout the university to provide information such as characteristics of students, credit hours, graduates, and grades.

Respond to external surveys such as U.S. News.

  Complete other tasks, duties, and projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or another analytically-oriented discipline.

1 year of work experience in data, in any business context.

Excellent analytic, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including ability to manage multiple tasks. 

Must have understanding of confidentiality requirements. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with information systems used in higher education, such as Banner.

General understanding of business processes and organizational structures associated with a higher education institution.

Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and to represent the Office of Institutional Research with numerous constituencies.
