This section of the website is named for eAIR, the monthly newsletter of the Association for Institutional Research. From its start in October 1987 to today, eAIR remains one of the most important tools for improving the IR capacity in higher education. Though eAIR is delivered on the second Thursday of each month, the scope and mission of this valuable resource has expanded to include web-based resources which are updated frequently and available at any time.
eAIR is frequently cited as the oldest continuous email newsletter in existence. Currently, the newsletter is available complimentary to anyone interested in institutional research, institutional effectiveness, or assessment.
Standard features of eAIR are outlined below and include articles from industry leaders and AIR members on a variety of topics of interest to higher education practitioners interested in IR management, research, policy analysis, and planning.

IR in the Know – Summaries of current and emerging issues related to higher education data collection, analyses, and reporting. Member written.
Board Corner – Monthly update to the members from the AIR Board of Directors.
