Does your office software impact your work efficiency? In the 2018 AIR National Survey of IR Offices, we asked what types of software (beyond Microsoft Office) the IR/IE office used and the degree to which it improved efficiency. We found that 92 percent of IR/IE offices have analytics software, 90 percent have database query software, 89 percent have professional survey software, 83 percent have reporting software, and 55 percent have assessment/accreditation management software.
Next, we asked the degree to which the software tools improved office efficiency (see chart). We found that query software was most likely to contribute to office efficiency while assessment/accreditation software was least likely.
