Job dutiesEssential Functions:
Provide appropriate data and trend analysis for the support of the strategic plan and institutional planning efforts;

Ensuring that reports provide meaningful, appropriate and accurate data and supporting documentation is available to meet the decision-making needs of the University;

Compiles, analyzes and disseminates quantitative data on facets of the University and related educational issues of all student populations, including areas such as institutional characteristics, enrollments, student retention persistence and graduation, student transfer activities, enrollment projections, grades, and other student performance indicators and fiscal affairs as requested;

Function as the data director to ensure that the University meets all state and federal reporting requirements and compliance by coordinating the timely submission of IPEDS, KICA, UCAN, Department of Education, external surveys/reports and others as requested;

Develop, coordinate and publish annual data fact book/annual report and make various data points public to constituents as directed;

Design, distribute, collect, and report results of course
evaluation survey data each semester;
Explore and make recommendations for continued report and data collection automation and work flow;

Maintains up to date knowledge on university systems, policies, and procedures as they relate to student academic progress, withdrawals, and other student-centric policies found in the University Catalog;

Proactively responds to the needs of the department as appropriate to include occasional duties outside of normal working hours (e.g., Saturday mornings) for registration and/or Commencement activities;

Maintains the confidentiality and protection of student records according to FERPA;

Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Skill:
Complex problem solving with strong mathematical reasoning to include statistical modeling.

Ability to follow directions, plan, organize, prioritize and implement assigned responsibilities and to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.

Commitment to accuracy and detail.
Proven ability to work independently as well as establish and maintain effective working relationships and work cooperatively as a team member with a positive attitude.

Strong professional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree required or equivalent experience
Two (2) or more years of experience with advanced use of Excel, SPSS, or other data mining software;
Two (2) or more years of experience analyzing and visually presenting data for organizational decision-making;
Two (2) or more years of experience with quantitative research and assessment/evaluation processes.

Desired Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of experience with college or university research, strategic planning or assessment;
Knowledge of SQL programming or Jenzabar student administration software.
Salary range$40,000 - $60,000
