Job dutiesThe Senior Account Executive will be responsible for using consultative and value-based sales techniques to understand prospective customer’s needs and recommend Eduventures research solutions in a compelling and strategic manner. In this role, the Senior Account Executive will foster relationships at the Executive and C-Level at higher education institutions in an assigned territory. This position is responsible for managing existing client relationships and establishing new revenue opportunities via cold-calling, prospecting, and closing new business in higher education, particularly those with a prioritized interest in adult learner demand, academic program/academic innovation and student success. Success in this position requires the ability to understand, communicate and align a spectrum of client needs to high-end research, advisory, and consulting services. The ability to build a long-term portfolio of accounts and manage a multi-faceted business pipeline, along with a demonstrated record of meeting individual and organizational goals, is essential. This position will require 50-75% travel.

Key Responsibilities
•Represent Eduventures via presentations and group discussions with higher education leaders. Build relationships and secure subscriptions by meeting with educational executives (President, CIO, Provost, etc.) to identify client challenges and present relevant solutions.
•Develop a strategic sales plan and individual account tactics to effectively penetrate and identify business needs with ultimate decision makers. Exceed sales quota by creating and communicating the value of member services with prospective customers.
•Maintain a positive reputation and credibility during and after the initial sales process.
•Effectively use published research and findings when engaging prospective and existing clients.
•Exhibit natural curiosity on market trends and provide market insights to inform research and new product development.
•Collaborate with Client Research Analysts and other team members to ensure client satisfaction and success.
•Collaborate with subject matter experts and analysts to create targeted client proposals in which client needs are identified and mapped to research solutions.
QualificationsRequired Experience:
•Experience as an executive in higher education who leveraged research and/or advisory services in a strategic manner.
•Experience with one or more of the following areas preferred: online education, continuing education, academic program innovation, curriculum development and measuring institutional sustainability.
•Professional sales experience selling research or professional services preferred but not required.
•Flexible and adaptive to change; able to work productively in a changing environment
•Working knowledge of Sales Force or/other CRM, Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
•Strong negotiation and organizational skills
•Excellent written and communication skills
•Strong business and technical acumen
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
