Job dutiesLoyola Marymount University has an opening for a Manager of Accreditation and Planning. The incumbent will collaborate with the Vice Provost for Strategic Planning & Educational Effectiveness to coordinate and facilitate institutional planning activities, accreditation processes, and academic program planning and review processes; conduct research and prepare documentation in support of the work of the Provost’s Planning Council and other planning bodies; provide leadership in the development of key performance indicators related to strategic planning; provide consulting support to colleges, departments, and divisions in planning, assessment, and review activities and processes; design and maintain websites and archives of data, research materials, reports, and other relevant documents.
QualificationsCandidates will typically possess a Master’s degree or higher in one of the social sciences, higher education, policy research, or related field (doctorate preferred), or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes. Minimum three (3) years of experience in institutional or policy research, accreditation processes, assessment, or strategic planning in an institution of higher learning. Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge in the areas of research methods, assessment, and accreditation. Knowledge of academic program review and curriculum design concepts and methods is highly desirable. We are also seeking candidates that have familiarity with the academic enterprise within a university and demonstrated knowledge of key issues, concepts, trends, and policies in higher education. Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning concepts and processes in a university setting is highly desirable. Exemplary communication skills and effective organizational and project management skills is a must. Successful candidates will also have the ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and diverse groups and demonstrate success working collaboratively. Demonstrated computer competency including various software packages and applications. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is highly desirable; experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS or SPSS) a plus.
