Job dutiesThe Institutional Research & Assessment (IRA) Coordinator provides support for Florida Board of Governor's (BOG) state reporting submissions by actively collaborating with campus data custodian staff and technology services team to ensure data accuracy. This position reports and compiles data for the Fact Book, coordinates external surveys such as US News, Princeton Review, etc. and other data collection and reporting projects on specialized topics, and administers and conducts institutional research and survey projects.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining the office state reporting data and regularly performing data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation of results to prepare institutional responses to external and internal inquiries (ad hoc requests) on a wide range of issues, e.g. student admissions and enrollment information, enrollment projections, student persistence and success (retention and graduation).
The IRA Coordinator assists with the performance based funding audit and keeps abreast of best practices in the use of technology in research and evaluation.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in statistics, psychology, economics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, sociology or other quantitative social science discipline or equivalent work experience in data analysis, reporting and statistical modeling.
Two years' experience in institutional research and assessment.
Demonstrated ability to learn new software and continually acquire new competencies.
Proficiency in statistical software tools/packages such as SPSS (preferred), SAS, R etc. to produce high quality results and analysis, experience with query tools, and visual data analysis software .
Ability to design and conduct research independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Salary range$40,000 - $60,000
