Job dutiesSpecific job duties include, but are not limited to:

Assisting with the gathering and verification of institutional data including the development of complex database queries related to enrollment and completion
Completing federal, state, and higher education reports and surveys for the University in compliance with mandated deadlines
Assisting academic and administrative departments in data collection and analysis as well as in survey development and development
Preparing presentations and dashboards to communicate information to various campus audiences
Supporting and assisting with the annual institutional report for MSCHE and providing institutional data for grant applications
Assisting academic departments in addressing accreditation requirements by providing data and assisting with data analysis and surveys for accreditation reports and visits
Designing and preparing analysis and reports for internal users including annual College Fact Book
Maintaining Institutional Research website, portal pages, and calendars
Collaborating with the Director of Institutional Research and Assessment on strategic projects
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field plus 12 to 18 months of effective experience is required. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required. Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, SPSS, Qualtrics or similar programs is strongly preferred. Experience with higher education SIS database such as Jenzabar is preferred. Research-related work experience or experience in higher education is a plus. Candidates with experience/coursework in research design, statistics or data analysis will be considered. The successful candidate will be organized, able to handle competing priorities, able to handle confidential and sensitive information and be detail-oriented. The successful candidate must also be able to effectively prepare written communications and be able to explain technical and statistical information in understandable terms.

Salary benefitsEmployees are eligible for medical insurance through the Caldwell University group health plan, sponsored by Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The College offers two plans. Employees are eligible for dental insurance through Delta Dental of New Jersey. Caldwell University offers two network options: Delta PPO/Premier and Delta Advantage. Caldwell University provides private short-term disability insurance for all employees through The Standard. Employees who are unable to work due to non-work related injury/illness and are absent from work for 8+ consecutive days are considered to be on short-term disability. The benefit has a 26-week maximum, which runs concurrently with FMLA leave. Employees receive, at no cost to them, an individual life insurance policy through The Standard Insurance, equivalent to one-times their annual salary to a maximum of $150,000. Pension plans at Caldwell University are administered by TIAA/CREF. The college has two tax-sheltered 403(b) plans. Employees who elect medical and/or dental insurance are eligible to elect the Cafeteria Plan (IRS Section 125) in order to take their medical/dental premium payroll deductions on a pre-tax basis for federal tax purposes. All full-time and part-time employees and members of their households are eligible for confidential short-term counseling through the Aetna Resources for Living employee assistance plan at no cost to the employee. This benefit provides a maximum of 10 counseling sessions per issue per year. Counseling is available via telephone or in the form of personal meetings and is completely confidential. All employees are insured in the event of a work-related injury or illness at no cost to them through New Jersey Manufacturer’s Insurance Group. NJM has a wide network of medical providers and specialists available to employees who are injured on the job. After one year of service, employees are eligible for several tuition benefit options.
