Job dutiesReporting to the Associate Provost for Institutional Research and Assessment, the Associate Director of Institutional Research supports the Associate Provost in conducting, managing and implementing institutional research and assessment related activities. The range of these activities includes maintaining and disseminating longitudinal student information system; designing and maintaining student data files; planning, designing and maintaining websites related to institutional research; coordinating and administering student and alumni surveys; acting as institutional data liaison to college guide book publishers; and representing the office in appropriate university/campus committees. The individual hired for this position will play a central role in FDU's institutional assessment program.
Qualifications1. Master’s degree in a quantitative or related discipline.

2. Five or more years of experience in institutional research.

3. Experience using statistical software applications such as SPSS, Microsoft Suite, Enterprise system such as Datatel, and web development applications. Knowledge of programming languages such as VBA is a plus.

4. Experience with State and Federal reports is a must.

5. Knowledge of survey research, statistical techniques and assessment tools. Experience with institutional assessment highly valued.

6. Ability to lead and supervise staff.

7. Effective oral and written communication and excellent interpersonal skills.

8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently are essential.

9. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
Salary range$60,000 - $80,000
