Job duties* Uses a combination of tools including but not limited to, base SAS, SAS Visual Analytics, Excel, Argos, and SQL to produce aggregate data in response to internal and external ad hoc request for information and recurring data requests.
* Performs statistical analysis and constructs effective data summaries, including narrative, tabular, and graphical forms, to communicate key information to stakeholders.
* Assists in maintaining the Office of Institutional Research website.
* Trains data users within the university on use of interactive data tools produced by the Office of Institutional Research.
* Other duties as assigned.
Special Conditions: The department is especially interested in candidates with knowledge to analyze data, provide reports to support strategic decisions at the University.
Provide and communicate official data and information about the University to administrators, faculty, staff, and external agencies as appropriate. Areas of data include applicant, student enrollment, student success, alumni, human resources, and finance. Also, candidates who can work independently and possess analytical traits as evidenced by the ability to 1) write codes, scripts, or syntaxes 2) integrate information and data from multiple sources including from many individuals across campus or from a variety of data sets; 3) troubleshoot data anomalies and data integrity issues; 4) perform flawless data entry for external surveys. Also desirable are a strong team, customer- service attitude, the ability to explain technical and statistical information in understandable terms, and full commitment to facilitating data-driven decisions for enhanced student success.
QualificationsMaster’s degree and two years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education
Salary range$40,000 - $60,000
Salary benefits$45,000- $50,000 per year, Benefits Eligible
