Job dutiesUnder the general direction of the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness, the Associate Academic and Institutional Studies II (AAIS II) undertakes research, analytics, and assessment studies of considerable scope. In collaboration with senior staff at the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, the incumbent has responsibility for: data quality assurance, external reporting, curriculum issues, academic planning, institutional accountability, and survey administration and analysis. The incumbent will prepare presentations and other materials to disseminate the findings in such a way that they will be useful for decision-making and institutional improvement.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in business, social science, or computer science/engineering with a concentration in quantitative research methods, statistics and data analysis. Four years of progressively responsible administrative or professional experience, demonstrating an ability to conduct substantive surveys and studies of problems and issues in assigned areas. Or, the rank of Associate Professor or higher in a four-year college or university with demonstrated experience in research or special study work may substitute for up to four years of experience. Technical proficiency with computers and software packages with experience in data visualization and dashboard. Demonstrated skills in: statistical analyses and research methodologies; analyzing large complex databases; locating and integrating multi-source data for projects, such as environmental scans; interpreting and summarizing study results; and preparing innovative presentation materials that make analytical findings useful. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The incumbent must have an interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment.
