Conduct scientific and comprehensive institutional research studies inclusive to collect, tabulate, evaluate and report on different data to identify cycles, trends and underlying factors.

Assist in the evaluation of institutional performance and effectiveness by collecting, tabulating, analyzing and reporting data on strategic and operational outcomes.

Utilize applicable and reliable research procedures to collect, evaluate and report data on problems and successes associated with student learning outcomes, engagement, progress, satisfaction, recruitment, enrollment, retention, and employment.

Utilize applicable environmental scanning procedures to collect, tabulate, analyze and report on environmental factors.

Initiate, design, arrange and facilitate quantitative and qualitative research mechanisms (surveys, interviews, focus groups etc.) to collect and tabulate various data.

Handle different research projects according to research priorities and plans.

Develop internal and external reports consisting precise and accurate statistical information.

Collaborate with team members to develop research plans and projects with purpose to address department and College needs.

Convey implications and results of institutional research in written plus oral presentations along with graphs and charts.

Use research findings to challenge assumptions, prompt reflection, stimulate change

Support and promote a culture of evidence based evaluation and decision-making at different levels of the College
QualificationsYour qualifications
An undergraduate degree with an emphasis on research methodologies in a field such as social sciences, economics, statistics, public or business administration, and a minimum of 5 years of research experience including data modelling, forecasting, and qualitative and quantitate analyses, is required. A graduate degree in social sciences, education, economics, statistics, public or business administration, or a Project Management Certification is preferred. Knowledge of the goals, objectives, structure, and operations of a higher education institutional research and planning department is required. Knowledge of data governance is preferred. The candidate must have experience in extracting and reporting data from an enterprise system such as PeopleSoft or from a data warehouse and experience in communicating data analysis results through formal presentations, narratives, and written reports tailored to the target audience. S/he must also have experience in designing and conducting focus groups or other qualitative research methods; survey development, administration, analysis, and reporting using online software; conducting labor market analysis; and conducting environmental scanning. Research experience working in an institutional research and planning department is preferred. Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills as well as exceptional customer service skills are essential. The ability to collect, analyze, interpret and disseminate information (quantitative and qualitative) and the ability to prepare statistical analysis using Excel, SPSS, and other analytic software is required. The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects and the motivation and focus on achieving department goals and project outcomes. Intercultural competence, including intercultural sensitivity and adaptability is required. Knowledge of the CNA college system and its programs is an asset.
