Job dutiesUW – Extension, Continuing Education, Outreach and E-Learning located in the University Research Park has a great part-time temporary opportunity for a student interested in and proficient at conducting research for two current projects.

Responsibilities and Skills:
Conduct secondary research on stated research topics; read and interpret abstracts; analyze content and expand search parameters to fully understand and provide meaningful and relevant literature reviews. Show interest and curiosity about the topics.
Project 1 Research Question: Are the giving patterns of alumni of online programs different from the giving patterns of alumni from campus-based programs? Is the affinity relationship between alumni of online programs and the institutions from which they graduated different from the relationship of alumni of campus-based programs?
Project 2 Research Question: The promotion and tenure process typically rewards deep disciplinary expertise and specialization. Undergraduates are expected to graduate with broad skills in communication, critical reasoning, working collaboratively, etc. as well as a wide understanding of the liberal arts. Does the focus on specialization support breadth of learning at the undergraduate level?
QualificationsEducation: Must be currently pursuing education at the graduate level or higher. Also accepting candidates with Master’s degrees or higher.
Salary rangeDependent on qualifications and experience
Salary benefitsAnticipated Hours and Compensation: We anticipate this assignment will be up to 150 hours of work over a 2 to 3-month period and will be compensated at an hourly rate of $15 to $20 per hour depending upon qualifications.
