Institution descriptionThe Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness at Cincinnati State invites application for the position of Director.

This administrator will manage and supervise all work performed in the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and will maintain responsibility for establishing the office budget, setting office priorities, managing office personnel, balancing the workload of office staff and ensuring the timely completion of accurate reports to assist decision makers and satisfy external agencies. The office provides descriptive and evaluative information for planning and decision support.
Job dutiesEssential Duties:

Prioritize research agenda in collaboration with senior leadership.

Support enrollment management activities including projecting and analyzing enrollment patterns.

Produce accurate and timely publications of interest and importance to the college (e.g. funding analysis, policy studies, etc.)

Facilitate the institution's strategic planning process.

Support institutional and programmatic accreditation activities.

Provide information, counsel and technical assistance to internal constituency groups to assist with planning and improvement efforts.

Provide support for grant application activities and follow-up reporting as needed.

Coordinate requests for information from the college community.

Lead the development of annual summary of research findings.

Prepare and disseminate annual analyses of Academic Programs.

Facilitate collection, analyze and prepare results of national student surveys.

Design, implement, analyze and prepare results of ad-hoc surveys.

Extract data from student information system to meet internal and external needs.

Publish term-by-term statistics for academic divisions and finance department.

Design, construct and maintain systems for disseminating information electronically.

Conduct qualitative studies (e.g. focus groups, environmental scanning, etc.)

Prepare course completion, retention, and other monitoring reports.

Maintain institutional dashboards.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of state, federal, and other external reports.

Perform other related duties as assigned
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in an appropriate discipline (social science, statistics, business, or other area involving research and analytical skills) is required.

Five years' professional experience in data analysis, research analytics, or equivalent data-driven environment.Experience in statistical analysis, query generation.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (spreadsheets, database system, graphics, and word processing).

Previous experience in higher education and use of Enrollment Management program(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

A doctorate in a related field is preferred.

Experience working with Colleague query language or similar language.

Progressive responsibility and experience within a community college environment.
Salary range$80,000 - $100,000
Salary benefitsCompensation: $85,000
