Education Compliance Analyst

Job Duties

The duties assigned to this position include, but are not limited to, data entry, documentation of processes, report development, and initiating and managing effective working relationships with other departments, groups, and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced. The Education Compliance Analyst will meet professional obligations by honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner. All work responsibilities are subject to having deadlines and/or targets established. Other duties may include survey development and analysis, as well as assisting the senior data analyst with requests for data, and other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Two years of experience in data extraction and analysis
  • Experience reporting data from multiple systems supporting business computer applications
  • Expert Excel skills utilizing Macros, V Lookup, pivot tables, charts, and data visualizations

Desired Qualifications:
  • Financial reporting in a higher education setting
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner
  • Minimum of one year experience of SQL reporting
  • Share Point administration experience
  • Familiarity with Title IV Federal Student Financial Aid

Other Qualifications:
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance is not available for this position.
  • Report to work obligations to support the department and may require work during HPU's winter break, if necessary.
  • This position may be considered an essential position with report to work obligations depending on the type of emergency, campus closure, or evacuation.
  • Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy.
  • Upon hire, candidate must have reliable personal transportation to facilitate travel between to all HPU worksites and other locations as required by the position. This includes a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle that is legally registered and insured
  • Able to work all shifts and extended hours.
  • Successful candidate will be able to work in an environment that utilize excellent time and stress management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work with/for multiple employees and meet deadlines
  • Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and strong verbal and written communication skills
