Job Duties
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness provides leadership for and manages all necessary functions relating to the collecting, organizing, maintaining, sharing, analyzing, and interpreting data for both internal and external constituencies. The Director serves as the Chief Data Officer for the university and ensures the integrity of data and information released in reports or studies.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coordination and management of an institution-wide data strategy
- Providing data to internal constituents to support data-driven decision making, assessment, grants, and other functions to promote institutional effectiveness
- Providing quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to support evidence-based planning and decision making
- Monitoring the overall integrity of data, complying with state and federal requirements, and working with other offices to address any data discrepancies
- Providing data literacy training and support for all campus stakeholders
- Oversight of the submission of reports and surveys to state and federal agencies, the Board of Regents, accreditors, and other external constituencies
- Providing data and document support for accreditation efforts
- Administering, analyzing and sharing data from designated university-wide surveys, currently including the National Survey of Student Engagement
- Oversight of the course evaluation process, including training for faculty, chairs, and deans
- Providing leadership for and evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness office staff, as well as oversight of the Institutional Effectiveness office budget
- Participating in university committees as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, physics, social sciences, education, business, or related field
- Three or more years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with dashboard software
- Experience with predictive analytics software
- Experience working at a higher education institution
- Experience managing an office of institutional research/institutional effectiveness in an educational setting

Sick: 144 hours per year, accrued up to a maximum of 1,440 hours
Family Sick: 72 hours per year

Retirement: Cameron pays 100% of its administrative/professional employees' contributions in the Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System. Dental, vision and dependent health coverage are also available to employees on a pre-tax basis through convenient payroll deductions.
Tuition Waiver: An Employee Academic Tuition Waiver, of up to 18 credit hours tuition per academic year, is available on the date of hire to employees who receive Cameron benefits and work on a full-time or part-time basis beginning with the first full semester after the employee's date of hire. Eligible participants include the employee, the employee's spouse and/or dependent child(ren) (native, adoptive, stepchild, or a child for whom the employee has legal guardianship). Such children must not have attained the age of 24 years at the start of the academic term in which the tuition waiver is applied.
Life Insurance: Each employee is provided employer-paid life insurance through American Fidelity in the amount of two times their annual salary. Employees also receive an additional $18,000 in life insurance through the Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement System once they are active members.
Long-term Disability Insurance: CU provides employer-paid long-term disability insurance through American Fidelity. Long-term disability benefits are paid on 60 percent of an eligible employee’s covered salary (up to $72,000), after a disability period of six months.
Voluntary Salary Reduction Plan: Cameron provides a 403(b) plan that enables all employees to defer a portion of their current income. The advantage of Cameron's voluntary salary reduction 403(b) is that your taxable income is reduced by the amount you contribute into the plan. Employees can contribute into a consolidated four tier investment lineup. Cameron has contracted Fidelity Investments as the master administrator and record-keeper of this lineup. Section 125 Flexible Benefit Plan: Employees have the option of obtaining additional insurance plans through Cameron's Section 125 cafeteria plan with American Fidelity. The following coverage is available through pre-tax payroll deductions: short-term disability, cancer policies, accident coverage, additional life and dependent life insurance, and medical and dependent care flex plans.
