Job Duties

Prepare required internal, local, state, and federal reports in a timely, accurate manner using data from the college administrative software, Colleague, and other resources.
Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by internal and external stakeholders.
Plan, design, and manage the collection, analysis, presentation and interpretation of historical, current and comparative data to provide reports, dashboards, analyses and recommendations for planning and decision-making purposes.
Design and distribute surveys; collect and organize data for statistical analysis.
Assist in improving the quality, consistency, and usefulness of college data.
Provide formal training and informal support to others regarding the planning, analyzing and reporting processes to be used in research.
Attend state-wide Data Governance and Institutional Research Council (DGIRC) meetings and work collaboratively with the Wyoming Community College Commission staff and other state IR offices to improve data consistency and reduce duplication of effort.
Perform periodic review of written procedures and updates as necessary to maintain a current, complete reference manual, including maintaining an institutional research calendar to ensure that cyclical project timelines are met.
Participate in professional development activities, in campus meetings, and serve on committees to ensure communication between departments IE/IR issues.
Operate within the framework of the college’s approved policies, procedures and practices.
Perform other reasonably related duties as directed or assigned.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, research methodology, a quantitative-intensive social science discipline or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.
Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in higher education or a related industry that includes research/statistics/analytics.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Well-developed analytical skills.
Skills in utilizing software and programming languages used in statistics and data analysis/visualization, preferably SQL, R, Shiny, Tableau, and/or SAP Web Intelligence.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Ellucian Colleague.

Institution Description

Central Wyoming College (CWC) is a community college serving Fremont, Hot Springs and Teton Counties that offers certificate programs, associate’s and bachelor’s degrees, with outreach centers in Lander, Jackson, and Dubois. The Central Wyoming College main campus is located in Riverton, a city of about 10,000 on the banks of the Wind River. The campus and community lie in the Wind River Valley, a large lowland area bounded by mountains on three sides. The valley has a rich cultural history. A large portion is occupied by the Wind River Indian Reservation, home of the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho tribes. CWC is a designated Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institution (NASNTI). The college is also the home of Wyoming PBS, the state’s only public broadcasting station.

Benefits

Part-time, 19-hours per week, non-benefitted position. Position is eligible for remote work. Pay ranges from $23.00-$25.87 hourly, dependent on qualifications of applicant.
