Job Duties
- Support university-wide initiatives by identifying and providing appropriate data and analysis to support strategic decision-making and planning processes.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of institutional data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Utilize statistical methods and research techniques to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on key performance indicators, enrollment trends, student success metrics, and other relevant data to various stakeholders.
- Create ad-hoc reports as needed to support decision-making, goal setting, assessment, and strategic planning across division.
- Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all institutional data required by federal (e.g., IPEDS), state (e.g., PA Dept. of Education MyPDESuite system), and accreditation agencies (e.g., Middle States).
- Design and implement surveys to gather feedback from students, faculty, and staff, using the results to inform institutional improvements.
- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and security.
- Foster collaborative relationships with executive cabinet, CIO, registrar, academic departments, administrative units, and external partners to enhance data-driven decision-making across the college.
Job Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a discipline employing quantitative knowledge and skills (e.g., statistic, educational research, data science).
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience working in higher education.
- Experience with state and federal reporting requirements for private universities and colleges.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and staff across the university and serve on cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and procedures involved in handling sensitive and regulated data (e.g., FERPA, GLBA).
- Demonstrated proficiency with common higher education enterprise systems (e.g., Banner, Slate, Argos, Starfish), programming languages (e.g., SQL), Microsoft office, and statistical software programs (e.g., SPSS, SAS, STATA).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
- Doctoral degree in a discipline that requires advanced knowledge and skills in research methodologies, statistics, and/or evaluation and assessment
