Nashville State offers flexible work arrangements for positions that qualify.
Communicates with faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners to understand their data needs and how best to support their programs. Provides data and analytical support to the NashGRAD program to meet program and administration needs for the planning and assessment of program priorities and goals. Manages, analyzes and reports NashGRAD data in collaboration with NashGRAD program leadership.
Understands the available resources that can be applied to a question and work with the requestor to provide accurate and insightful solutions. Assembles and executes SQL code from the NSCC code repository to gather necessary data. Analyzes data to measure progress toward institutionally defined goals, to address on demand requests, and to fulfill required reporting to TBR, THEC, and IPEDS.
Assists in the development and support of data visualizations, including Power BI dashboards. Assists in developing appropriate data systems to support institutional planning and policy-making procedures. Coordinates with the Technology Services Division to manage automatic processes. Prepares routine and on demand reports and maintains documentation for assigned projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree
One (1) year of work experience in higher education, data management or related field
Experience in data manipulation and visualization, utilizing Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in education, social science, computer science or research related field
Understanding of relational databases and experience writing SQL queries
Experience with Microsoft Power BI
Experience in institutional research
