Job dutiesThe Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness reports to the President and supports the President and Senior Team by providing direction and leadership for initiatives related to institutional effectiveness and for implementation of the College’s strategic plan. This position develops and generates data to inform systematic, broad-based, and interrelated planning processes for the educational, administrative and support activities of the College; engages in research to help the president and senior team, as well as all administrative and academic departments of the College; and identifies appropriate outcome measures and benchmarking tools. The Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness oversees accreditation initiatives to support the mission of the College and serves as liaison to SACS-COC.
QualificationsQualified candidates will have a master’s degree (PhD preferred) in higher education, data analytics, the social sciences, statistics, or a related field, and a minimum of five years of experience in a higher education setting. Candidates must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of research methods and advanced statistical analysis techniques, as well as statistical analysis software; be experienced in identifying, generating and using data for problem solving and decision-making; demonstrate excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to engage successfully in college-wide strategic decision-making and planning processes; have highly developed organizational and leadership skills; and have experience in prioritizing multiple and varied projects and initiatives required.
