Launching Soon: Faculty, Academic Careers, and Environments (FACE) Institutional Questionnaire
The Faculty, Academic Careers & Environments (FACE) project is launching the first of two components—the Institutional Questionnaire.
FACE is based out of the University of Southern California’s Pullias Center for Higher Education and aims to understand who faculty and academic personnel are, what their academic careers look like, and how the environments in which they work shape their ability to thrive as instructors, researchers, and public scholars in the community. With funding from the National Science Foundation, FACE is collecting pilot data at both the institutional- and faculty-level to achieve these goals.
If your institution was selected as part of the pilot sample, your President will receive a separate email from RTI International containing information about the institutional questionnaire and a request to name an institutional respondent. The information you provide helps supply knowledge related to who faculty are, what practices and resources support their effectiveness, and how institutions can attract, retain, and support faculty from diverse backgrounds.
Your participation will help inform institutional, state, and federal policies that increase equity and allow faculty to thrive. If you have questions, please contact the FACE Helpdesk at face_project@rti.org or 866-253-0474.
