Job dutiesThis position works directly with the Director and Managing Director of Institutional Research in the gathering, management, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data and research findings. This position will coordinate and perform a variety of advanced analytical projects, often independently, as requested by College constituencies. This position, along with all others in the Institutional Research department, handles and protects confidential and sensitive data with integrity. Regular work with both personnel and student private data is required of this position for the daily analysis this department conducts.

Essential responsibilities include:
Perform data evaluation and analysis projects for the Planning and Institutional Effectiveness office.

Data visualization and reporting

Survey development and administration

Participation in College Committees/Activities

Original Research and Development
QualificationsBachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university in a related field.

Two years experience in an educational setting or relevant research experience,

Proficiency in the use of statistical software, such as SAS or SPSS.

Experience using data visualization software, such as Tableau or PowerBI.

Familiarity with the development, management and use of relational databases and in querying, creating and maintaining working datasets from an ERP/student information system (e.g. Ellucian Colleague, Banner etc).

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel and Outlook) with an emphasis on Excel and Access.

Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple projects to insure deadlines are met.

Excellent oral communications skills with demonstrated experience presenting and discussing statistical analysis and research findings to a wide variety of audiences with varying levels of statistical understanding.

Ability to produce and communicate written information in a professional manner to a wide constituency.
