Job dutiesThe Business & Technical Applications Analyst is responsible for coordinating and conducting institutional research functions that assist the University in maintaining and analyzing the data and systems necessary to make sound administrative and academic decisions. The person in this position will be required to integrate data from various sources to develop and maintain a coherent system of institutional knowledge and information. Provides support to university needs by developing custom ad hoc queries and reports using tools such as SAS, WebFOCUS, or SQL. Will also assist in the development of structured databases in Amazon Redshift or Oracle to help meet office/university reporting needs.

Develops, modifies and publishes reports based on user requirements using data from various university databases. Ensures data integrity through oversight and validation.
Generates, supports and ensures accuracy of reports for state and federal agencies and accrediting organizations.
Maintains knowledge of campus data systems and relevant campus processes and policies.

Handles confidential records and sensitive documents with discretion.

Assists in the design and maintenance of office databases.

Works independently with occasional supervision.

Presents and explains complex technical topics, problems, and alternative solutions to others.

Works effectively in an environment requiring balancing multiple competing deadlines and priorities and in collaboration with a variety of individuals.

Creates and maintains documentation on office processes.

Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsBachelor Degree.

Ability to program in WebFOCUS, SAS, SQL, or similar database querying languages.

Experience in data extraction from databases (e.g. Oracle, Amazon Redshift).

Knowledge and experience in the design and maintenance of relational databases.

Knowledge of Banner, Admissions Pro, or Degree Works.

Experience in data visualization using Tableau or SAS Visual Analytics.

Demonstrated knowledge of higher education performance measures such as retention and graduation rates.
Salary range$60,000 - $80,000
