Institution descriptionThe Director of Analytics is responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative research and for identifying, analyzing, and presenting institutional data trends related to enrollment, retention, graduation, demographics, student outcomes and other measures. The Director leads the Data Analytics unit (with two direct reports) within the Office of Data & Analytics and reports directly to the Chief Data Officer (CDO).
Job duties• Manages and develops various online data products, including fact books, interactive data tools, information briefs, white papers, and university data submissions;
• Provides leadership and analytical support regarding research and the analysis of academic, fiscal, financial aid, student, faculty, research and economic development, strategic planning, and other data that relate to issues which affect the State University System of Florida;
• Serves as the primary contact for data and information requests;
• Serves on various short- and long-term project teams within the Board Office, providing professional expertise on a variety of higher education issues;
• Provides support for chancellor's presentations, Board meetings and member interests, policy analyses, and legislative work;
• The Director will supervise and evaluate office personnel, serve as a member of the Data Governance Committee, and perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications• Master’s degree in data analytics, statistics, or a related field;
• Five years of higher education experience in Institutional Research;
• Highly effective leadership, organizational, communication, and administrative skills;
• Ability to lead cross-sector groups in a collaborative environment;
• Ability to initiate research studies and reports utilizing quantitative and qualitative methodologies;
• Demonstrates excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills;
• Knowledge of university administration and state and federal reporting requirements;
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Two years in a leadership/supervisory role within an institutional research unit;
• Possess knowledge of advanced statistical analysis techniques;
• Possess strong SAS programming skills and is familiarity with Visual Analytics dashboards.
Salary rangeDependent on qualifications and experience
Salary benefits$75,000 - $85,000, depending on education and experience.
