Job dutiesWabash College invites applications for an Institutional Research Analyst to begin by August 1, 2018. The Institutional Research Analyst manages the internal and external reporting of institutional data, analyzes institutional data and develops predictive models to assist programming and decision making, and works with offices and constituencies across the College to support a culture of inquiry and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities of the Institutional Research Analyst include:

• Oversee the collection and dissemination of institutional and student data for state and federal agencies and other external agencies including ranking publications (e.g. IPEDS, Common Data Set, US News and World Report)
• Query campus and external data sources, develop reports and dashboards, and conduct analyses providing accurate, accessible, and actionable data
• Monitor benchmark data from peer and aspirant institutions and provide comparative analyses
• Coordinate College survey research and needs assessments, including research on students, programs, alumni, and employees
• Collaborate with internal College constituencies to meet program and department data needs
• Serve on Institutional Research Working Group to establish procedures for institutional data classification and management and curate institutional data used in planning and evaluation efforts
• Manage Institutional Research webpages
• Perform other functions and tasks as directed by the Office of the Dean of the College
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
• Two or more years of related experience, preferably in higher education
• Strong quantitative skills with background in statistics, educational research, and/or research methods
• Facility with data analysis programs and databases, database query, and reporting tools and ability to learn new software and acquire new competencies
• Strong commitment to data integrity and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple project timelines
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in producing reports and working with college constituencies
