Job dutiesThe Regis College Information Technology Services department invites applications for a Research Analyst in Institutional Research. This position requires an individual with database experience who is both meticulous and able to work in a face-paced environment, and enjoys both team collaboration and independent work toward multiple deadlines. This position will afford an individual with a wide variety of professional development opportunities and exposure to both business and technology resources. A successful candidate will be comfortable in both a cyclical and project-oriented workspace. Reports To: Dean of Institutional Research
General Summary:
The Institutional Research Analyst will be an active data steward to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data and reports released from Institutional Research, provide data for other college constituencies, set priorities and timelines for projects, provide analytical skills to support the functions of the office and College, and represent the Dean as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:
• Create and maintain regular internal, external and ad hoc reports and dashboards in various software environments.
• Collaborate with departments regarding reporting needs, and consult on leveraging existing enterprise reporting and data tools and reporting / data maintenance best practices.
• Monitor and organize a suite of enterprise and departmental reports and queries, and optimize them for efficiency and changing data / departmental needs as necessary.
• Achieve and maintain proficiency and accuracy in Institutional Research practice and analytics tools.
• Manage, interpret, and summarize survey results including but not limited to CSI, CIRP and/or NSSE.
• Attend industry-specific trainings and / or professional meetings and conferences as appropriate.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications• Bachelor degree in a data-rich field required. Graduate degree preferred.
• A minimum of two years working with and understanding relational databases, developing database queries, and analyzing and interpreting data.
• Significant experience with ERP systems, preferably Ellucian Datatel/Colleague and Informer reporting tools.
• Experience working successfully in a team and managing multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines.
• Demonstrated success in problem solving, interpersonal communication, decision-making, and organization. Statistical ability is a plus.
• Ability to organize and present report data in various formats; report presentation should adequately convey results in a structured manner so that administrators can make sound decisions based on the evidence in the data.
• Strict adherence to confidentiality and data custodianship guidelines.
• Knowledge of the higher education environment, its data needs and reporting requirements.
• Ability to communicate technical information in oral, written, and graphic form to individuals with varying backgrounds.
• Demonstrated successful management of multiple short- and long-term projects.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
